Former TSoM Student Spotlight - Aiden West
We love hearing about what former Taupō School of Music students are up to, especially those who have perused a career in music.
Recently we sent a few questions to Aiden West, this is what he had to say.
How old were you when you started at the Taupō School of Music? 5 years old.
What instrument did you start on? Ukulele.
What instrument did you learn at the School of Music? Trumpet.
How did School of Music impact your life? It was the start of my career.
How is music part of your life now? I am now a professional musician with the Royal New Zealand Navy Band.
What is your greatest musical experience or achievement to date? My tour to Nuie as a bugler for ANZAC day.
Anything you would like to add? Learning music has open so many doors for me and has shaped the person I’ve become.
